Tourist activities around Trets
Trets is a small medieval village where life is good, between the Var and the Bouches du Rhône. History lovers will appreciate its seigneurial castle and its ramparts, as well as the numerous traditional festivals which take place there all year round. Trets enjoys an ideal location, not far from everything: 20 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, 30 minutes from Cassis, 40 minutes from the Gorges du Verdon or even just 7 kilometers from the Var.
Calanques of Cassis
The famous Calanques of Cassis are only 30 minutes by car from our furnished gîte. Located at the foot of the immense cliff of Cap Canaille, Cassis seduces with its quays lined with cafes and restaurants, its coves, its beaches and its old town. Don't miss the magnificent coves of Port Miou, Port Pin and En Vau with their transparent waters. By taking the route des Crêtes, you can reach the beaches of La Ciotat.
Haute Provence
Beaux de Provence, Saint Remy, the Camargue, the Gorges du Verdon… Discover the valleys and plains of Haute Provence. This department is full of magical places such as Valensole and its lavender fields, Moustier Sainte-Marie and its exceptional view or the village of Riez and its Roman remains. The Riviera
An hour's drive from our furnished gîte, you can discover the famous Golden Islands and its nature reserves: Porquerolles, Port-Cros and The Levant. In another genre but just as magnificent, let yourself be seduced by the Massif des Maures and Esterel with red rocks plunging into the sea. A little further, the village of Saint-Tropez, the beaches of Saint-Raphaël and the Promenade des Anglais in Nice are worth seeing.
Sainte-Victoire Mountain
From our gîte in Trets, you have a breathtaking view of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire. Symbol of Provence, the Montagne Ste Victoire peaks at 1011m. If you feel like climbing it, head towards the village of Puyloubier and you will be there in just 15 minutes. At the top, a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains and the rolling plains of the Aix region awaits you.
